They say the world was beautiful
From the very beginning.
I don't believe them.
Not until her.
Before her,
The moon was only silver,
The ocean only blue.
The stars were hanging in the darkness,
But they had nothing to lead you to.
Then she opened her eyes
And something changed.
Like heaven
Remembered my name.
She doesn't walk into a room.
She changes the room.
She doesn't ask for the light.
The light follows her.
When God made her,
He took a little from the sun,
A little from the moon,
And something no one knows.
He put the fire in her soul,
The whole sky in her eyes.
And when He was finished
He looked at the world
And said: Now it's alive.
She has the calm of midnight
And the danger of the dawn.
A heart soft enough to save you,
A soul strong enough to walk alone.
She can turn a house into a home
Without saying a word.
And make a thousand miles
Feel like somewhere you've been before.
Maybe that's why
I knew her before I knew her name.
She doesn't chase forever.
Forever follows her.
She doesn't need a crown.
She was born
With a kingdom in her blood.
When God made her,

And eternity inside her eyes.
And when He was finished
He didn't make another miracle.
He made her.
